What an exciting camp the kids from Greenwood had last week. The children from in the intermediate phase (grades 1, 2 & 3) went to Ingwe Forest Adventures. They were placed into three teams - each team had to think of a team name, a song and paint a flag. Once this was done the groups did various activies including obstacle courses, walking together on a pole, running with tyres and making a stretcher out of hessian, rope and two poles.
Other team activites included making lunch, dinner and breakfast, as well as washing up after each meal! The kids slept the night there and this was an exciting experience for a lot of them. When I asked some what the best thing was about the camp the replies where "sleeping out in the 'dormatories'..."
Thanks to the teachers and parents who helped out - and a big thank you to Ingwe for providing us with such a wonderful experience.
