Greenwood Independent School

Greenwood is a privately owned independent primary school situated 2km from the centre of Plettenberg Bay, in the Western Cape's beautiful Garden Route. It provides co-educational facilities for 130 children.

Greenwood's primary objective which is to help each child reach their full potential in all areas of life. Activities include the promotion of social skills, emotional and spiritual growth, physical coordination, and cognitive preparation. This holistic curriculum, under the direction of teachers trained both in the National Curriculum and Montessori principles, allows children to experience the joy of learning - something which is so often absent in schooling today.

Greenwood's approach to teaching is designed to develop self-esteem and provide the children with confidence in their knowledge and strength to prepare them for the future.
